Just as Britney Spears was making an attempt to resurrect her pop career, topless pictures of the star have emerged.
With only two red flowers to cover her modesty, the photos - said to be taken in a friend’s backyard in Los Angeles - show the star playfully posing for the camera.

The photos are latest chapter in the pop star's bizarre life.
Spears spent a month in rehab earlier this year after shaving her head and allegedly attacking a paparazzo's car with an umbrella.
A newly svelte Spears launched a series of mini comeback shows across America this week, but failed to receive rave reviews.
She reportedly lip-synced the brief 5 song set, and one audience member threw a small object at her during her second show.
Recently divorced from Kevin Federline, Spears' latest flame is rehab alum Howie Day - perhaps the flowers were a gift from him.
