Ruby Stewart sparkles in new campaign for Ultimo lingerie brand

Luffy | Friday, November 30, 2007 | 0 comments
The women in rocker Rod Stewart's family appear to have a virtual stranglehold on modelling for lingerie brand Ultimo – and judging from these photos of model daughter Ruby – it's not hard to see why.

The 20-year-old daughter of the rock veteran is the latest from La Familigia Stewart to model for the brand which famously dumped his wife Penny Stewart in favour of ex-wife Rachel Hunter.

Jewel in the crown: Model Ruby Stewart incurred rocker dad Rod's disapproval but that's sure to have faded after seeing these stunning pictures of his 20-year-old daughter modelling for Ultimo lingerie

But despite the row, ambitious Ruby Stewart, the fourth of his seven children, is understood to have approached Ultimo and asked to follow in the footsteps of Penny, Rachel and big sister Kimberly.

Ruby reportedly has a £100,000 deal to model Ultimo's diffusion range for cut-price supermarket Asda range.

And apparently a furious Rod, once he'd got wind of his precocious daughter's plans, ordered work to stop - but she had already completed one of four shoots.

Disapproval: Dad Rod reportedly tried to stop the £100,000 deal from going ahead but fortunately, he was unable to

However, looking at the pictures,it appears Rod may have been a little hasty.

It is not the first time Stewart has had a stand-off with Ultimo's boss, Michelle Mone.

When the firm dumped his wife Penny Lancaster in favour of his ex-wife Rachel Hunter in 2004, he called Mrs Mone a "manipulative cow".

She is the third of the Stewart women to model for the lingerie brand - this time for a diffusion range for Asda

A source said: "Apparently he decided he was going to make Ruby concentrate on her musical career, but Michelle is in no doubt it's because of her involvement with Ultimo."

However Mrs Mone confirmed that Ruby had been signed but said she was doing her last shoot.

More's the pity!

Britney Spears accused of shoplifting wig from store

Luffy | Thursday, November 29, 2007 | 0 comments
Erratic Britney Spears has been accused of shoplifting a wig just hours after stripping down to try on a pair of briefs in an adult store in Los Angeles.

It is alleged that after an altercation with staff, the troubled singer snatched a wig off a mannequin and left without paying for it.
Odd behaviour: Britney Spears, out in Los Angeles last night, has been accused of shoplifting

The incident happened in the adult shop Hustler shortly before 1am on 18 November, the American magazine Us Weekly is reporting.

It also says that while in the store Spears, 25, picked up some saucy knickers and headed for the changing rooms.

But, much to her disgust, she was told by store employees that she could not try them on.
Not pregnant: Britney's camp is denying she is expecting another child

A source at the store, in West Hollywood, told the magazine: "They told her they don't allow people to try on underwear and she was really upset."

At that point the singer's behaviour allegedly took a turn for the worse. She decided to take off her own underwear - in the middle of the shop floor - before trying on a pair of pants with 'Barely Legal' stitched across the rear.

Fifteen other customers looked on in shock at the mother-of-two's antics. One witness told Us Weekly: "The employees said, 'Don't change out here!' She's just like, 'Well, I couldn't take them in the fitting room!' It was just like dealing with a child."
Briefs: the pop star is said to have stripped down to trying on a pair of 'Barely Legal' underpants

Spears's tantrum continued. "The staff told her she had to pay, and she rolled her eyes, but paid with a credit card," the source went on. But on the way out Spears allegedly went up to a mannequin, snatched its wig, and stole it.

Meanwhile Britney and her ex-boyfriend JR Rotem have denied reports in another American magazine that she is pregnant again.

Music producer Rotem issued a statement saying: "There is absolutely no truth to this."

And her pal Sam Lutfi sent a text message to Ryan Seacrest's radio show in LA saying: "It's BS. Don't know who made it up. JR doesn't even know what's up. It's fake, completely fake."

Gemma voted out of jungle as she looks skinnier than ever

Luffy | Thursday, November 29, 2007 | 0 comments
Jungle bikini babe Gemma Atkinson made a shock exit from I'm A Celebrity last night after becoming the seventh contestant to be voted off the show.

As the ex-Hollyoaks actress found out she was leaving, she hugged her camp-mates - and later told Ant and Dec she was relieved to be going home.

"I just want to see my mum", she said.
Super skinny: Gemma looks more toned every day she spends in jungle

The 23-year-old was up against former Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews and the pair stood with an arm around each other's back as they waited to find out who would be going.

When she found out she was the public's choice, Gemma beamed.

"The worst thing is not being able to contact your family. It's time for me to leave. I've got bruises all over my legs and I'm hungry."
She predicted that J or Christopher Biggins would win the show.

Earlier in the day, Gemma, famous for her ample curves, appeared to be sporting an increasingly slimline figure.

After just two weeks in the jungle, the ex-Hollyoaks babe is rapidly turning into a shadow of her former self.
Relief: The Hollyoaks babe finds out she's going home

The shapely actress stripped down to just a bikini again today to reveal her ever-decreasing form, uber-taut stomach - and defiantly buoyant cleavage.

In the past, the size 4 actress has confessed to being a "gym-freak" but the sparse jungle diet and a regular exercise routine have had a dramatic impact.

And she had sworn not to follow in the footsteps of former contestant Myleene Klass who wowed viewers with her white bikini.
Nervous: Gemma waits with J and Cerys to hear her fate
Hug: Janice embraces Gemma as she gets ready to leave the camp

But despite her demure words, the starlet's surgically enhanced 34E breast have rarely been off the screen since the start of the hit series.

Shortly before entering the ITV show, the 23-year-old model/actress was unveiled as the latest face of Scottish-based underwear firm Ultimo.
Ever decreasing: Gemma appears to have been shrinking since she went into the jungle

If she is losing weight, it'll mean she'll be in tip-top shape for her upcoming Ultimo photoshoot in Florida.

Earlier in the week, excited Gemma told Christopher Biggins and Jason 'J' Brown, she will be starring in a sexy shoot with fellow Ultimo models Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding and Peter Crouch's girlfriend Abbey Clancy.

She enthused: "When I come back I've got to do the Spring Summer for next year.

Glamorous: A fuller figured Gemma in the new Ultimo ads

"Sarah Harding does the A to C cup. I do the D to G cup so it's cool. All the bras that I'm modelling they let me keep them - they do like corsets, suspenders, everything, so it's cool.

"We are doing a thing called Ultimo Angels as in Charlie's Angels. It's going to be me, Sarah and Abbey Clancy (who Janice worked with) - we're going to Miami."
Curvy: Gemma's figure has many admirers

A skimpy bikini reveals Jennifer Love Hewitt has piled on pounds

Luffy | Wednesday, November 28, 2007 | 0 comments
She was the inspiration behind former boyfriend John Mayer's hit 'Your Body Is A Wonderland,' but not even a famous muse like Jennifer Love Hewitt can escape a little weight gain.

A combination of harsh sunlight and a skimpy bikini left the newly buxom star with nowhere to hide as she hit the beach for a swim during a Hawaiian getaway.
New curves: Jennifer braved the water in a skimpy bikini yesterday; a slender Jennifer in a recent ad for Hanes
Rear view: even Jennifer can't escape even woman's nightmare - cellulite

The star's curvy, cellulite-riddled physique was in stark contrast to the slender - and airbrushed - frame she showed off during a recent advertising campaign for US label Hanes.

Still, the star of I Know What You Did Last Summer, who was enjoying a romantic break with boyfriend Ross McCall, says she happily embraces her imperfections.

In a cheeky nod to Mayer's hit, Jennifer recently joked: "My body is far from a wonderland. My body is more like a pawnshop."

"There's a lot of interesting things put together, and if you look closely you'd probably be excited, but at first glance, not so much."

The 28-year-old, who stars in the popular US show Ghost Whisperer, recently wrapped filming on Delgo, a big screen animation which also features Val Kilmer, Anne Bancroft and Freddie Prinze Jr.

Bottoms up! Paris's lingerie-style frock leaves her over-exposed

Luffy | Tuesday, November 27, 2007 | 0 comments
Paris Hilton looked as if she forgot to take off her nightdress as she took to the street in a lingerie-style slip of a silk dress - which was so short it left her matching blue tights exposed and barely covered her modesty.

Reformed bad-girl Paris Hilton wore the bizarre outfit to meet her pregnant pal Nicole Richie for lunch in Los Angeles yesterday.

In a vain attempt to create a proper outfit, the heir-head, 26, threw on a pair of shades, a chain, the tights and some shoes and took her nightwear on the road to keep a lunch date with her former Simple Life co-star.
Over-exposed: Paris found herself somewhat over-exposed as she turned up to meet pal Nicole Richie for lunch in Beverly Hills in a bottom-exposing frock yesterday

But despite her rapidly expanding waistline, the daughter of singer Lionel Richie, still managed to look pretty svelte next to Paris, who looked somewhat over-exposed in her barely-there frock.

A rear view of the outfit shows Paris was saved from complete exposure by her opaque blue tights which went some way to protecting her modesty.

Along with Paris' younger sister Nicky Hilton, the hotel heiress, who has only just returned from a busy trip to China met with pal Nicole to lunch at 'Forte' restaurant in downtown Beverly Hills.
Best buddies: Paris and Nicole enjoyed a lunch date together putting paid to rumours that they had fallen out again - after a pal accused the heiress of selling Nicole's baby shower photos

It was a slightly more sedate style of socialising, which is in stark contrast to their former hell-raising years when both were permanent fixtures on the LA party scene.

Heavily pregnant Nicole, 26, appears to have hung up her party shoes in preparation for motherhood.

Their apparent closeness seemed to put paid to reports suggesting their on/off friendship was under strain again.

One of Nicole's pals had accused Paris of leaking photos of the mother-to-be's recent baby shower. But Paris' spokesman denied the claims.
Nice to see ya: Paris and younger sister Nicky met with pal Nicole at Beverly Hills eatery Forte

The aspiring actress and socialite recently co-hosted the Wizard Of Oz-themed baby shower for her friend at the Beverly Hills Hotel, along with Nicole's sister Sophia.

"I am so happy for her, it is really great," Paris told reporters as she arrived at the bash.

"I can't wait for them to have the baby."

Nicole and boyfriend Joel Madden have yet to confirm the sex of the new addition to their family, but they reportedly received mainly blue gifts, therefore could be expecting a boy.

Outrage as GMTV uses racy pole-dancers to 'model' tights

Luffy | Monday, November 26, 2007 | 0 comments
It was enough to have viewers choking on their breakfast muesli.

When GMTV presenter Lorraine Kelly announced a fashion feature on tights, it would have been fair to assume they would be displayed on a series of models parading on a catwalk.

Instead three pole dancers complete with their own portable pole demonstrated the legwear in increasingly graphic routines.
Pole position: a racy segment on this morning's GMTV has outraged family campaigners

Even the breakfast TV host seemed somewhat taken aback as the models, wearing corsets and thigh-skimming black skirts, stuck both legs in the air and writhed provocatively.

An open-mouthed Miss Kelly, 47, was left to splutter with raised eyebrows: "These are good aren't they?"

But the fashion item broadcast before 9am yesterday drew an angry response from family campaigners.

John Beyer, of the TV campaign group Mediawatch UK, said: "It is absolutely inappropriate for pole dancing to be promoted in a show of that kind at that time of day when children could be watching.

"As it was an item about tights, it seems the pole dancing was completely unnecessary.

"I wish ITV would concentrate on producing more wholesome television."

The three-minute feature at 8.50am was titled "glam up with this season's tights."

But Miss Kelly looked alarmed as, instead of the usual saunter down a catwalk, the pole was wheeled on and the suggestive dance routines began

As she watched from the sofa with fashion editor Erica Davies, she gasped: "I wish I could move like that. I'd be in hospital if I tried."

Gathering herself together at the end of the feature, she added hastily: "This is not naughty pole-dancing, this is pole-dancing for exercise."

But she admitted: "We did not concentrate on the tights. We were too busy looking at your great moves."

A GMTV spokeswoman said: "Pole-dancing is the latest keep fit craze and is great for upper body strength and toning so we thought it would be a fun way to illustrate these tights."
Kick start: the three-minute feature at 8.50am caught viewers by surprise

It is not the first time GMTV and its host have raised eyebrows.

Last week Miss Kelly's cleavage was pummelled by royal corsetiere June Kenton, who told her she had been wearing the wrong bra for years.

In September the programme was fined a record £2 million for fleecing viewers through phone-in competitions they had no chance of winning.

Media regulator Ofcom levied its highest-ever penalty after discovering the deception amounted to as much as £35 million over four years.
Outrage: one campaigner described the performance as 'completely unnecessary'

Lesbian chic: Joely Richardson and Portia de Rossi in steamy scenes for Nip/Tuck

Luffy | Sunday, November 25, 2007 | 0 comments
The steamy embrace between actresses Portia de Rossi and Joely Richardson in the forthcoming series of Nip/Tuck is bound to set pulses racing.

Yet playing a lesbian is a first for Portia. "I am a lesbian playing a lesbian" says the blonde actress, "But she's a different woman than I am, so the most surprising thing is how emotional it's been for me."

It's been three years since the leggy blonde went public about her relationship with Ellen de Generes and at first she worried she'd be typecast as a lesbian if she took the Nip/Tuck role.
Joely says of her on-screen romance: 'I think men respond to the sexiness of two women being together.
Lesbian chic: The resemblance between on-screen lovers Joely Richardson and Portia de Rossi is striking

Yet her girlfriend Ellen urged her to do it.

"My relationship with Ellen is so public, and I thought, 'Am I going to play a romantic lead again?' I had that one moment of, 'Does this mean I'll be typecast as a lesbian?'" Portia said.

"And Ellen turned to me and said, 'So what?' And I thought, 'Oh, yeah, right, so what?'"

Yet there were no such reservations for co-star Joely.

Joely, 42, said: "I have no problems kissing women. It's not the first time I have done lesbian scenes.
The temperature rises on Nip/Tuck as Portia de Rossi moves in for a steamy embrace
While Joely admitted she enjoyed her on-screen sex scenes, real-life lesbian Portia was apprehensive

"I have heard Ellen was jealous. She has been on set. She is great and Portia is lovely."

The actress added, "I think playing a lesbian turns men on. When my character Julia was the boring, married housewife, always chopping vegetables, people were sweet and lovely.

"But now I'm playing her as a sexy ***** with a big padded bra and a short skirt, I get a very different reaction.

"I think men respond to the sexiness of two women being together."

Sizzling Gemma admits she has the hots for older men as stars reveal drug horror tales

Luffy | Saturday, November 24, 2007 | 0 comments
The temperature soared in the jungle last night as sexy Gemma Atkinson took another shower in her skimpy bikini and admitted she fancies older men.

The curvy 23-year-old said she had a soft spot for actors such as Ray Winstone, 50, and Al Pacino, 67, and like more mature men.

The conversation in the camp also took a darker turn as the celebs discussed horror stories about taking drugs.
Sizzling: Gemma Atkinson strips off for a jungle shower

Former boyband star Jason "F" Brown, 31, said he nearly went "insane" on LSD.

"One time I went on the stereotypical bad trip you know well, with acid basically," he said:

"I can honestly say on that night I kind of touched on real, real madness and it was unbelievable what went on."

PR guru Lynne Franks, 59, confessed she lost the plot after taking magic mushrooms saying: "I was at a concert surrounded by people and I absolutely freaked out."

Gemma said she had a bad experience with the same drug.

She said: "It was awful. I hated it. That's when I said never, ever again."

Singer Cerys Matthews said she was once hooked on drugs and spent a long time affected by them through terrifying hallucinations.
Gemma set pulses racing when she admitted she has the hots for older men

She said: "I have had flashbacks for 10 years. I can be walking down the street and see people's faces melting and people with pigs' ears on their heads - and this is sober.

"It's stopped now but it went on for a long time and when you start doing that sober - that's why I tread very carefully, you know."

Lynne was later thrown out of the I'm a Celebrity jungle and immediately criticised fellow contestants Janice Dickinson and Rodney Marsh.

Franks branded former model Dickinson "two faced" and said she would "be fine" if she never saw her again.

She then called Marsh "a nasty piece of work" and accused him of being "ungracious".

The public decided that the PR guru should go ahead of former Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews.
Lynne Franks said of her 13 days on I'm A Celebrity: 'I've done jungle before but this is the hardest'

Franks survived just 13 days in the jungle, which included being pecked by ostriches.

On her exit she said of the group: "I love those guys and had such a fantastic time but I was so ready to go.

"I had a wonderful day yesterday and I am going out on a high.

"It's time to get clean. You know, clean hair, clean fingernails, clean underwear and have a bath."
Lynne is the third person to be evicted from the jungle

She was close to tears when watching the highlights of her time in the jungle and said she hoped that Gemma Atkinson or "J" Brown would win.

Meanwhile, earlier in the show, she begged the public not to let Dickinson be crowned Queen of the Jungle.

The pair have been at each other's throats since the reality show began.

Franks is desperate for the 70s supermodel to be voted out before the final.
Rivals: Janice and Lynne failed to see eye-to-eye in the jungle

"It's Janice that I want to kill again today," she told Christopher Biggins.

"She takes over, I hate her. They (the viewers) must like her, they keep voting her in. As long as they can see how obnoxious she is.

"Do they find her funny in her awfulness, is that what it is? It's not funny because the meanness is there, sometimes she can be kind but only when it shows her in a good light."

Biggins reassured her: "She won't win."

Franks replied: "Oh, I hope not. I hope she doesn't win, it's not fair, and she's not a very nice person.

"She's a bore and a liar, limited intelligence. When I first met her we were talking about a very close friend of mine that used to work with her as well. She died of cancer and I asked her if she'd gone to see her and she said no. She's mean, mean, mean."

Panto star Biggins chipped in: "She has no powers of observation.

"The other day when I had that blue leotard on, she didn't even notice for 20 minutes. Walked right past me."
Rodney Marsh and Anna Ryder Richardson are lowered under the water while in the cage for the BushTucker Trial 'Dreading water'

They are not the only jungle dwellers to tire of Dickinson.

The former model regaled the group with a tale of meeting Beatle George Harrison, recalling that he played the mandolin for her in a Bel Air hotel.

When she finished, former footballer Rodney Marsh said: "You could have shortened that story by about 50 per cent."

Dickinson snapped back: "I reckon you can sit there and hang your gob."

"Oh, shut up, woman, I'm having fun," Marsh said.
Anna meets some hostile marine life. Rodney attempted to reassure her by telling her to 'relax'

Later Marsh and Anna Ryder Richardson triumphed in their joint Bushtucker Trial.

The pair teamed up on an underwater task.

Marsh has infuriated female viewers with his comments about women.

But he had to eat his words after Ryder Richardson put in a sterling performance - while he fell over and had to be helped to his feet by rescue divers.

The Dread Water trial saw the duo lowered into a tank of water wearing diving bells.
Anna realises volunteering to take part in this trial probably wasn't the best move

They had to retrieve stars from clear plastic spheres filled with creatures from the deep, including eels, lizards, frogs, yabbies, crocodiles and alligators.

"I'm not doing it, I'm not doing it," screamed a terrified Ryder Richardson, but she overcame her fears.

At one point a water monitor lizard got stuck in her helmet.

The pair retrieved all nine stars.

An impressed Marsh told the Changing Rooms designer: "You went for it, it was brilliant."

Princess Perfect: How Beatrice is turning into a most unusual young royal

Luffy | Saturday, November 24, 2007 | 0 comments
Partying with Kate Moss. Going on the pull with mum. Who would ever have imagined that out of the dysfunctional Royal Family, the parents who would produce the most poised and promising member of the new generation would be the divorced Duke and Duchess of York?

Stepping out into the night - and even brushing alongside the questionable company of party-queens like Kate Moss - she never varied.

The smile was attractively uncertain, the manner polite, the personal control absolute - not bad for a girl of 19.

Who would ever have imagined that out of the dysfunctional Royal Family, the parents who would produce-the most poised and promising-member of the new generation would be the divorced Duke and Duchess of York?

From clubland to dowagers' drawing rooms there is no greater surprise in London society than the mark that Fergie and Andrew's elder daughter Princess Beatrice has made.

Just a moment ago, or so it seems, she was dating the louche Paolo Liuzzo, a drug-taking Italian-American eight years her senior who once faced a lengthy prison sentence after being charged with manslaughter - later reduced to assault and battery.

Paolo lined his pockets with the money from a seedy kiss-and-tell about his months with the teenage Princess, who was only 17.

Today it's as though that ghastly episode never happened. What has emerged is the brightest of the young royals - in her A-levels at St George's, Ascot, where she was head girl, she got an A in drama and Bs in history and film studies - this despite having dyslexia.

And her boyfriend is the eminently clean-cut businessman's son David Clark, 25, a St Andrews university friend of Prince William, who works for Richard Branson and whose American family live in Hampstead.

Clark, who works in marketing at Branson's space tourism project Virgin Galactic, took her last weekend to former Hollyoaks actress Davinia Taylor's 30th birthday party in the Colour Rooms in edgy Shoreditch, East London.

She found herself among an A-list of hard-partying creatures including Moss, Sienna Miller, Jade Jagger, Naomi Campbell, Kelly Osbourne and Meg Matthews, all part of the outrageous Primrose Hill mob.

She wasn't even properly dressed - the party had an "Eighties rave" theme but Beatrice was, somewhat demurely, in a floral jacket, jeans and pashmina.

How did she cope with this fashion faux pas? "Without a care in the world," says one of the partygoers. "She never lost her poise for a moment. And you could tell that in such company she was just a 'tourist', not one of the crowd."
On the town: Princess Beatrice with boyfriend Dave Clark on their way to a party where guests included Kate Moss

She looked equally out of place in Ugg boots at Soho House earlier this week when friends took her to the media watering hole, and she was seen alone on the stairs, taking a break from the crowd.

Such sang-froid and lack of interest in hard drinking - so unlike her much noisier cousins William and Harry - comes as a pleasant surprise from a girl whose parents split up when she was only four years old.

Her achievement in growing into a young lady of whom her grandmother the Queen is said to be "hugely proud" must be measured against the riotous background that has often been provided by both her mother and father.

Beatrice, who is fifth in line to the throne, spent much of her growing-up years with her high-octane, unpredictable mother.

It is, perhaps, understandable, that with Fergie interminably crisscrossing the globe, Beatrice was happiest at school when she became a boarder.

Even so, she could not have avoided learning of the crises that Fergie went through involving both men and money, nor the embarrassment of her father's skirt-chasing.
Role model: Beatrice with Fergie

And yet, as one of the Duke's oldest friends says: "When you meet Bea these days you'd think she was the product of the most loving and stable of marriages, not from a broken home where her paternal grandfather (Prince Philip) refuses to have anything to do with her mother."

Just for once, people they know actually find themselves praising Andrew and Fergie for the way they have maintained a sense of "family" even though divorced.

"What they've achieved - with Eugenie as well as Beatrice - is an object lesson for millions of divorced couples," says one senior courtier.

The most obvious example of the togetherness that the Yorks have achieved was when Beatrice was given an 18th birthday ball at Windsor Castle.

The gold-embossed invitations sent out to more than 500 family and friends said that their hosts were "HRH The Duke of York and the Duchess of York" - only the missing HRH before Fergie's title was the give-away that the parents were no longer together.

It explains a touching belief which, according to friends, has always sustained the two teenage princesses, that despite their divorce their parents have never stopped being in love.

Beatrice is sophisticated enough to be amused at how seriously some people took it when her mother proclaimed that she liked to go out "on the pull" with her elder daughter.
Sister chic: The princess with Eugenie (right) at the Queen and Prince Philip's diamond wedding anniversary this week

The remark emerged when Fergie was proudly explaining how close she and Beatrice were. And they are close - close enough for the young princess to return the compliment by declaring in an interview with a magazine that she so admired her mother that she wanted to be a "minimummy".

Friends say her mother "remains her No. 1 role model" because whatever holes Fergie sank into in the past, she has dug herself out of, both with men and her £4million overdraft with Coutts.

"Bea admires the way her mother has beaten off her critics and taken control of her own life and wants to do the same," says the family friend. "She and her sister both know that being HRHs no longer means that much and want to make their own way in the world, just like Mummy, as it were."

The fact is, Beatrice's recent London partying was just a short break from gap year travels in South America, which she embarked on to "get completely away".

She came home from Brazil for her grandparents' diamond wedding celebrations and cousin Peter Phillips's 30th birthday.

She is, it must be said, strikingly like her mother, with the same sense of fun, a biggish personality, and just like the Weight Watchers ambassador, Beatrice's weight, says a friend, "is an issue".

Now she is flying out to Argentina where she will stay on the ranch that her mother inherited from her own mother Susan Barrantes.

She is with childhood friend Nikolai von Bismarck, also 19 - greatgreat grandson of Prince Otto von Bismarck, Prussia's Iron Chancellor - with whom she has already trekked the Inca trail through the Andes.
Film star: Bea filming a role as an extra in The Young Victoria earlier this year

She is also planning a field trip with one of her mother's charities and hopes to spend some time in New York doing work experience in the fashion and media industries.

At the end of her gap year she intends to go to university - both Edinburgh and Goldsmiths college in South-East London, which specialises in the creative arts, are on her shortlist.

"Bea doesn't want to make the same mistakes as her mother," says a family friend. "She is very aware of her family responsibilities. But she doesn't want to live like a princess. She wants to stand on her own two feet."

Unlike William and Harry, she will not have a formal role in royal life and is casting round for a fulfilling - and fulltime - career.

"It will not be a pretend sinecure like Kate Middleton's at Jigsaw,' says one of her mother's friends. 'Whatever she does, it will be a proper job."

Kylie and her famous rear immortalised in bronze (but its posed by a body double)

Luffy | Friday, November 23, 2007 | 0 comments
Pop star Kylie Minogue - and her famous rear - have been immortalised in bronze in a statue unveiled in her home town Down Under.

The life-size likeness, complete with lace body stocking and high-heels, will stand alongside fellow Australian entertainment greats in a Hollywood-style Walk of Fame at Melbourne's Docklands.

The figure took three months to fashion and was posed for by a waitress whose measurements are almost identical to Kylie's.
Kylie Minogue
'Ultimate Kylie': The diminutive statue is 5ft high, just like Kylie

It is the work of sculptor Peter Corlett, who said he was inspired by Minogue's Showgirl tour to create a statue representing the "ultimate Kylie" .

He worked with the 39-year-old singer's management and dressmakers in London to get her body measurements, right down to the size of her wrist.

The body double, a dancer from Sydney, was then able to replicate the Minogue pose to help the Australian sculptor produce the final version.

The statue is part of a Variety Entertainers of the Century display.

Mr Corlett is still in negotiations over a similar statue of Melbourne's other famous lady, Dame Edna Everage, whom he would like to place near Kylie on the Walk of Fame.

Waitress Sophia James, 27, said the modelling assignment was "a one-in-a-million opportunity".

She enthused: "I'm a great fan of Kylie.

"When I was younger I always tried to hide my bottom which is quite curvy, like hers.

"I'm glad singers like Kylie and J.Lo have made it fashionable to have some curves."

Cindy Crawford shows off her six-pack... and the body's not bad either

Luffy | Friday, November 23, 2007 | 0 comments
The weather's hot enough in Hawaii, but supermodel Cindy Crawford's arrival sent temperatures soaring.

The 41-year-old turned heads as she sashayed along the beach in a skimpy bikini, cowboy hat and six pack - both the abdominal and thirst-quenching variety.

She proved the knock-out body which earned her a £25million fortune as one of the world's leading cover girls is still in top form.

Still super: Cindy Crawford showed off her knock-out body while in Hawaii yesterday

While she's clearly blessed with impeccable genetics, Cindy has admitted she now works hard to keep in shape: "When I was 23, other women could look at me and say 'Well, she's never had kids'. But now I have and I know what it's like to have to lose baby weight.

"I'm actually happier with my body now than I was back then, because the body I have now is the body I've worked for."

Romantic getaway: Cindy is on a romantic getaway with husband Rande Gerber

Cindy, who was enjoying the summer break with husband Rande Gerber, has two children, Kaya and Presley.

Last year, French magazine Gala claimed the supermodel admitted to using Botox and collagen injections to preserve her looks.

It quoted her as saying: "I owe the quality of my skin to my cosmetic surgeon."

However, a spokeswoman for Cindy later denied that the model ever spoke to the magazine and revealed that she was hurt by the claims.
