Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria her new husband jetted off for a romantic break with their pampered pooch in tow.

Eva, 32, tucked the tiny pup into a special travelling bag as they prepared to fly out of Los Angeles International Airport.

The TV star married French-born basketball player Tony Parker, 25, in July and the couple still appeared to be enjoying married life.

The pair walked hand-in-hand through the airport wearing comfortable tracksuits.

Eva recently told Parade magazine how happy she had been since the wedding.

"Every time I think of my wedding, I just smile. I just think what a beautiful man he is. It's funny, because it's so clichéd for women to say: 'My wedding was the happiest day of my life'.

"But I find myself saying that and think: 'Yes, my wedding was the happiest day of my life so far'."

She concluded: "I feel like the rest of my life is just beginning."
