This week, Victoria Beckham said she'd be happy to swop her mansions for a council house so long as she had David by her side.
"Sometimes I see a couple who've just finished work, sitting in their car and she's got a Barclays Bank badge on and he's got this Dicons badge on and they're going home for dinner," she sighed wistfully. "Sometimes that looks nice to me."
Here, with the help of two lookalikes, Ursula Hirschkorn takes a wry look at what a day in the life of the council house Beckhams might entail.
8am: A world away from the trappings of Beckingham Palace, a new day is dawning for Posh and Becks as they take up residence in their council home.
9am: David opens an ASBO which has arrived for one of the mini-Beckhams.
10am: The Beckhams start their day at the shops - with a trip to Primark.
11am: Driving home from their shopping spree, their Vauxhall Astra breaks down. David calls for assistance.
11.30: When their car is towed away, the Beckhams miss their bus home.
12.30pm: Home at last and it's lunchtime. Victoria can't see what Jamie's got against Turkey Twizzlers.
