Victoria Beckham shoot for Armani lingerie

Victoria Beckham reveals the sizzling results of her first lingerie shoot for designer Giorgio Armani.

After being persuaded by Italian fashion boss Giorgio Armani to pose in the series of adverts, the 34-year-old reveals her enviable figure in a polka-dot bra and high-cut thong set which leave little to the imagination.

The mother-of-three has complained in the past that she looks 'really awful naked'.

But her lack of confidence is not evident as she sprawls langorously on the carpet of a dimly-lit hotel room in the film-noir style shoot.

Looking highly-toned, and without an inch of fat on her slim frame, Victoria even shows off what looks like a six-pack in the highly-stylised photos.

Of course, with so many talented airbrushers about, many will suspect there has been some tampering in the Armani picture studio - especially seeing as she has previously spoken of the toll pregnancy has taken on her shape.

'There are loads of things I don't like about my body', she said. 'I've got so much saggy skin on my stomach.'

The pictures of Victoria, which will grace billboards and magazines are from her first shoot in the three-year multi-million pound deal.

Victoria landed the £12million modelling deal late last year, following in the footsteps of her football superstar husband David, 33, who posed in his underwear for a high-profile Armani campaign which attracted thousands of fans at its unveiling in San Francisco in 2008.

She said at the time: 'To be given this opportunity to work with Armani is thrilling. I have so much respect for him.'

While Armani himself praised Victoria, herself a designer, as 'a style icon, a dynamic lady whose influence and recognition will add great excitement to the continued international growth of our Emporio Armani women's underwear business.'

Victoria has previously worked as a model, and has recently launched her own collection of dresses under her own label dVb which have won acclaim from the fashion industry's fiercest critics.

Her collaboration with Armani comes as husband David has moved temporarily to Italy's fashion capital, Milan, while on loan to club AC Milan.

David has told reporters that he has his wife's full support after it was revealed that his family will remain in America while he returns to Europe.

Victoria Beckham fancies herself as something of a style icon but it appears she is taking inspiration from an unlikely source.

The former Spice Girl has copied troubled singing diva Amy Winehouse's exposed bra look in a photoshoot for trendy US designer Marc Jacobs.

But with her silicone enhanced chest bursting forth from the dress' bodice, it made for a particularly vulgar take on the already decidedly common look.

The wannabe style queen struck an awkward pose - a cross between a teapot and a shop window mannequin - dressed in an outfit which looked much like a decorative toilet roll cover in the latest campaign for the trendy US designer.

As the former Spice Girl modelled her most bizarre look yet for the trendy US designer - full lace gown, and squiggly headpiece - complete with a heavy layer of fake tan for her supposed friend.

But with friends like these, she surely doesn't need any enemies.

Victoria appears in the latest of a series of arty adverts for the popular designer's fashion house Marc Jacobs, which was shot by celebrated fashion photographer Juergen Teller.

The former Spice Girl, has made no secret of her desperate desire to be a style icon, but judging by these pictures she's come up considerably short.

Hoisted up like a shop window mannequin Posh was left inches off the floor, with her usually expressionless face typically devoid of expression.

Victoria Beckham may look young for her 33 years but the jury is still out on whether she can carry off sucking her thumb in the latest Marc Jacobs campaign.

In new images advertising the New York designer's latest creations, the former Spice Girl, designer and mother-of-three is shown curled up in a multi-coloured maxi-dress in the foetal position.

Bizarrely, she is seen sucking her thumb, while wearing her trademark oversized sunglasses and a pair of yellow gloves that bear an uncanny resemblance to Marigolds.

In a second picture, Victoria models one of Jacobs' much sought-after bags which is decorated with a big gold frog. But clearly, she already has her prince in football husband David Beckham.

Posh has been chasing fashion icon status since leaving the girl group launching her own range of sunglasses, and fashionable dVb denim line.

And it seemed that her style credentials were cemented when she achieved the coveted cover of British Vogue.

But a backlash soon followed, with the magazine receiving criticism from readers for its decision with some threatening to cancel their subscriptions.

However, Jacobs' decision to use Posh in his Spring ad campaign shot by noted fashion photographer Juergen Teller is undoubtedly another feather in the former Spice Girl's fashionable cap.

Of all the many adjectives applied to Victoria Beckham, 'sophisticated' has been one of the least used.

Until now. Posh Spice is at last living up to her nickname with a glamorous yet refined photoshoot for Vogue, including her first cover.

Posing in a series of flowing outfits accessorised with diamonds, the 33-year-old singer and fashion designer evokes memories of the young Princess Margaret, photographed for her 19th birthday by Cecil Beaton.

Alexandra Shulman, editor of British Vogue, said: "The pictures demonstrate the Eliza Dolittle quality of Victoria, veering from mannered hauteur to the trashy sexiness of her exposed back laced with tattoos."

Miss Shulman, who interviewed her for the feature, said Posh arrived in skyscraper Christian Louboutin shoes and admitted: "I have joined a gym but I can't bring myself to start.

"Obviously working out is important - well, I don't. What do you wear on the running machine? I can't bring myself to wear flat shoes."

Despite her recent foray back into global pop stardom, Victoria Beckham has still managed to find time to strip off and pose nude for a new designer campaign.

Covering her modesty with her hands and the caption "Protect the skin you're in" Posh Spice is the official face of a T-shirt created by Marc Jacobs to raise awareness of the damage sun can do to skin.

The sure-to-be cult item is a bid to support The Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group.

Although it is sure to gain the campaign column inches and a significant following, using perma-tanned Posh could be seen as a bit of an odd choice to be the face of such a cause.

"I have realised how important it is to practise safe sun for myself and to keep the skin of my three boys well protected as well," she says.

Big Brother star Chanelle Hayes has taken the plunge, dyeing her blonde hair brunette, to look even more like her celebrity idol Posh Spice.

Chanelle, 20, revealed her sleek new brunette bob as she ran errands in central London.

But unlike her Spice Girl idol, she chose to cover up her assets - albeit in a revealing short black coat, teamed with a pair of fashionable ankle boots and sheer black tights.

And with her oversized glasses to complete the look, WAG wannabe Chanelle looked uncannily like her role model Mrs Beckham.

It might be less than 10 degrees outside - but Victoria Beckham clearly thinks she's still in sunny LA, judging from her barely there outfit.

Despite the plunging temperatures in the capital, dressed in a satin minidress and tiny black cardigan, Victoria braved the cold to enjoy a Christmas shopping trip in Bond Street's exclusive boutiques yesterday.

Her one concession to the cold winter weather, was to don a pair of Michael Jackson style black leather gloves.

But as is expected of someone of her celebrity status, in between nipping in shops, Victoria had a warm chauffeur driven car at her disposal in which to shelter from the falling temperature, and revive her very exposed, coltish legs.

Judging from her constant carousel of designer outfits, clearly Posh is in no need of new clothes.

However, the rejuvenated Spice Girl still stopped off at Yves Saint Laurent in Berkeley Square, but left empty-handed before moving on to lunch at Nobu.

Maybe she was looking for something for husband David - but as he's now modelling for Armani - perhaps she should be looking there.

Apart from shopping for Christmas gifts, Posh reportedly received a surprise gift of her own when she opened her post this week.

Celebrity skin doctor Dr Neetu Nirdosh has sent the Spice Girl some of her famous anti-ageing skincare sets, regularly used by the hard partying Primrose Hill set - stuffed inside a turkey.

Nirdosh said: "Victoria's not in her twenties any more, and so she needs to prepare her skin for the gruelling toll of a world tour." Quite.

Although she has been reunited with her four best friends in a money-spinning reunion tour, none of the other Spice Girls were with Posh as she enjoyed a break in their hectic tour schedule, which includes 17 nights in London.

Two nights ago the girls turned their performance at London's O2 into a family affair after bringing their children on stage during their hit song Mama, fulfilling Posh's dream of her children seeing her perform.

The group are set to return to the stage tonight in the German city of Cologne, and will play Madrid on December 23.

Leona Lewis has set a UK record for the fastest-selling debut album.

Spirit went straight in at number one, while the 22-year-old X-Factor winner's song Bleeding Love also remained at the top of the singles chart for the fourth week running.

Leona's album saw off stiff competition from the Spice Girls' Greatest Hits album, which went in at number two.

The previous fastest-selling debut album was the Arctic Monkeys' Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not in January 2006, which managed 363,735 copies in its first week. This week Spirit sold a massive 375,872 copies.

A spokesman for Leona said: "On it's first day of sales alone Spirit sold over 130,000 copies, which was outselling the rest of the top 10 put together.

"On average it worked out that Leona was selling an amazing 200 albums per minute."

In this week's singles chart, Take That stayed at number two with Rule The World with Timbaland's Apologize another non-mover at three.

Last week's six, About You Now by the Sugababes, slid four to this week's number 10.

In the album chart, last week's number one, Back Home by Westlife, was forced down to third place by Leona and the Spice Girls.

Mothership, a new entry by Led Zeppelin, entered the list at number four, while Celine Dion's new album Taking Chances went in at five.

The two other new entries to this week's chart top 10 were Sawdust by the Killers at seven and Andrea Bocelli's hits collection Vivere at eight.

After a meeting at Geri's North London home, I hear Victoria Beckham, Melanie Chisholm and Melanie Brown are put out that Geri has been claiming the group's new single Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) was largely down to her.

'Geri is making it clear to all who listen that she wrote it with Emma Bunton and the others added their lyrics much later,' says a source.

Now it seems she is extending her patronage to Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael.

The Spice Girl stepped out in Los Angeles at the weekend in a satin frock which might have taken its inspiration from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The lurid green was a similar shade to the skin of the cartoon heroes - named after the four Italian masters and famous for the phrase "cowabunga, dudes" - while its segmented design offered a nod to their armoured shells.

One onlooker said: "Victoria's dress was obviously couture and massively expensive. It was exceedingly well cut and fitted her like a glove.

"But the green satin tiles gave it a turtle-like, body armour feel. Sadly, the only things marking her apart from being the fifth member of the Ninja Turtles were the lack of a coloured eye mask or a samurai sword."

Mrs Beckham, 33, also shunned another Ninja Turtle tradition - pizza. She and her husband David, 32, instead dined on sushi at the Ivy restaurant in Malibu.

Since moving to LA two months ago, the singer has made quite an impact with her fashion sense. Though her eponymous jeans range sold out in department stores, she has been mocked for her overly made-up look and formal taste in clothes.

Perhaps the latest outfit was an attempt to come out of her shell.

Posh first turned heads in the audacious number at this year's Glamour awards, where she was named Woman of the Year.

The decision to leave her straggling at the end of the Spice Girls' line-up when the band relaunched was said to have wiped the smile off her face - had she been wearing one, that is.

So when the newly-reformed all-girl group got together for official publicity shots, there was no mistaking who would take centre stage.

Victoria Beckham - who is by far the richest and most high-profile of the band - was planted firmly in the middle with the other women framing her knowing pout over her shoulder.

And much like in life, the picture shows her standing head and shoulders above most of the other girls - seeming to clearly demonstrate who's boss.

They unveiled a 10-date tour kicking off in December - but when they posed for their reunion picture at the time, Mrs Beckham, 33, looked even more disgruntled than usual at being left at the end of the line-up while Miss Halliwell took centre stage.

Even the Roberto Cavalli bustier she was spilling out from and her skyscraper heels failed to single her out from the others.

So it comes as little surprise that in an official snapshot taken to announce five new tour dates, Mrs Beckham is at the heart of the group.

The women's glamorous image as they pose in strapless black dresses is a far cry from their brash, brassy appearances when they were first launched on the pop scene in 1996 - a change which is also said to have been instigated by Mrs Beckham.

There was some question over whether the Spice Girls - who have six children between them with a seventh on the way - can still carry off the feisty Girl Power tag when they are now mostly mothers in their 30s.

But if this picture is to be believed, the years have barely made a dent on their flawless complexions, sparkling features and immaculate hairdos.

Of course, the airbrushing the picture has undergone may explain how they have been able to defy the ravages of time and parenthood.

Victoria Beckham has tried to win over America with her charm, wit and fashion sense, and she's not ashamed to use her most powerful commodity – her marriage.

Following up their sexually charged photoshoot for W magazine and detailed account of their relationship, she allowed cameras from her fly-on-the-wall documentary, to again capture intimate moments with her husband David.

Footage from the programme, which will be screened on ITV tonight, showed the couple kissing and hugging between takes of photoshoots - no doubt aware of the camera's presence - proving that Posh will continue to use Brand Beckham in her Stateside assault.

Still, the strategy has faltered, if the response from critics is any indication.

With her husband David Beckham hailed the "soccer saviour" with his £128 million move to LA Galaxy and the reformed Spice Girls set to tour worldwide, Mrs Beckham was hoping to cash in by launching her own TV career.

A proposed six-part TV series with NBC was chopped to a one-off documentary called Victoria Beckham: Coming to America.

But if reviews of the show are anything to go by, her TV career will be short-lived despite her move to Hollywood last week.

The influential New York Times compared the programme to a website called cheddarvision.tv, where a webcam is focused on a truckle of West Country cheddar round-the-clock so cheese fans can watch the mould grow.

"These kinds of reality shows rely on a fish-out-of-water conceit but in Beverly Hills she is a fish-in-Evian, one rich, blonde, spray tanned wife-of among many.

"If she can retain viewers past the first commercial break...there is no such thing as celebrity ditz-fatigue."

The programme, which mainly focuses on her and does not feature the children, kicks off with her posing with her husband for a set of raunchy photos for W magazine.

Mrs Beckham is filmed making the move to her new LA home, applying for a driving licence and talking about her new circle of friends such as Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

She is also heard threatening to castrate Eddie Murphy - ironically the star of the original film Coming To America - after he dumped her fellow Spice Girl Mel Brown while she was pregnant.

Some US commentators have praised her "dry, deprecating sense of humour" - such as when she is offered a biscuit and says: "I don't want to be seen smiling, having fun or eating."

Her TV flop follows her faux-pas just days earlier when she denounced Hollywood stars who dressed down in public.

The one-hour special will be screened on ITV1 Tuesday at 9pm.

Beckham is set to make his footballing debut on Saturday, preceded by his own special on NBC titled David Beckham: New Beginnings.
