Lily Allen stripped off for her riskiest photoshoot yet as she posed topless beside two ferocious panthers.

Wearing nothing but a pair of diamond-squared hotpants, opaque tights and platform heels, the Smile singer appears to show none of 'The Fear' she sings about in her latest single.

The sexy shoot for Q magazine took place last month, just hours after the 23-year-old singer jetted in from the Caribbean, where she was photographed frolicking with 45-year-old art mogul Jay Jopling.

While the singer appears brave (and perhaps a little insane) to be standing so close to the predatory animals, it turns out Lily was not put at risk and the big cats were simply digitally added in.

In another fun shot, it looks like Lily is taking to the dancefloor with three panthers as she shimmies in between them in a purple fringed dress.

Shot by photographer John Wright, Lily poses in a series of skimpy outfits with her newfound friends from Buckinghamshire's Amazing Animals, who were handled by experienced trainers during the challenging shoot.

The interviewer even claims Lily French kisses Dinsdale in front of him.

She tells the magazine: 'The hunk in my kitchen... Well, he’s hot. He’s cute, isn’t he? I had a sleep-over two nights ago and he came along.'

In the interview, Lily also admits she is in regular contact with ex-boyfriend Ed Simons, who she split from in January last year after a five-month relationship.

The couple ended their relationship shortly after Lily suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage.

She explained: 'We still speak two times a week, he texts me all the time, making sure I’m all right.

'We never were not friends, it just became difficult. Because there was so much pain associated with everything that happened, for me I just needed to get away.

'But we still love each other. And we talk all the time and maybe one day we’ll get back together. But I don’t know. Not right now.'

She also tells the magazines she has visited several lapdancing clubs, despite finding them 'embarrassing'.

Lily was a force to be reckoned with on the Cannes party scene and was spotted looking rather worse for wear after attending the post-premiere party for How To Lose Friends And Influence People.

The newly fair-haired Smile singer has escaped for a holiday on the French Riviera, where she was spotted frolicking in a water front pool with a group of male companions.

The star is staying at the Hotel du Cap Eden-Roc, which sits on the tip of the Cap d'Antibes on the French Riviera between Cannes and Nice.

The exclusive resort is known to draw an A-list crowd - Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes checked in last year to attend the marriage of Australian media mogul and fellow Scientologist James Packer to model Erica Baxter.

Lily is among a stellar crowd flocking to the South of France ahead of the Cannes Film Festival this week including Hollywood heavyweights Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

He's brooding expression is the same, however his torso doesn't exactly stack up to the LA Galaxy star's rippling six-pack.

Of his newly unearthed heartthrob status, he says: "I just think, 'At last, they've noticed!'

Still, it hasn't come as a complete surprise for James, who says he's never had much trouble attracting women.

"Ever since I've been at school I've always done alright with girls. I've never really thought of myself as unattractive, really. I've always thought I had something to offer.

There's no doubt the shot will catch the attention of singer and BBC3 presenter Lily Allen, 22, whom has been romantically linked with.

While James is clearly not adverse to a little exposure, he did become suddenly shy when asked about the nature of their relationship.

He said: "I don't want to be an arse and not talk about her but I feel like the minute I do, it's just going to create more interest."

"I feel like I shouldn't say anything because she's my mate. Only because she kind of gets talked about enough and I don't think I'd be much of a friend if I discussed it."

Earlier this year, James scooped two Bafta awards for the BBC3 sitcom which he both writes and stars in.

The series, essentially the love story of a Welsh girl and an Essex boy, is expected to move to BBC1 primetime and has received interest in the US market.

It has been a hit with audiences of all ages and even has its own Facebook group "What's Occurring?" in homage to the character Nessa's catchphrase.

She's posed for magazine photoshoots and regularly makes promotional television appearances, but now outspoken pop singer Lily Allen says she is sick of the media glare.

In a MySpace post she wrote: "I don't want to be a celebrity, I am a singer, I write songs, that's it."

The rant was a clear change of mood for Allen, who had earlier turned on the charm during an angelic appearance at MTV's TRL programme in New York.

In the message, titled "F*** Off, F*** Off", the star complained about gossip reports that claimed she arrived late for her performance at New York City's Roseland Ballroom earlier this week.

She said: "I would never turn up two hours late for a gig... EVER. I'd been in my dressing room since four o'clock that afternoon anyway it's not as if I'd leave 3000 people out there for no reason."

Allen insists that she does her best to avoid celebrity behaviour: "I don't sleep and take drugs with famous people (I have a boyfriend I've been with for nearly 3 years), I don't go to film premieres. I don't go shopping in the paparazzi hotspots, so please leave me alone."

Allen says the constant attention has made her rethink her website posts: "The thing is, I’m not going to write here so often now. this used to be one of my favourite things to do. I could come on here and vent how I feel honestly and get feedback from you guys. But the tabloid f***s have ruined it."

Last month in a MySpace message, Allen experienced a high profile meltdown, calling herself "fatter and uglier" than Amy Winehouse, and threatened to have liposuction.
