World Exclusive: Wills and Kate are dating again

Luffy | Sunday, June 24, 2007 | 0 comments
Prince William and Kate Middleton have been seeing each other again – and shared a passionate kiss at a decadent Army party before disappearing to the Prince's private quarters.

The party and other secret dates are tentative steps towards a reconciliation, with sources close to both William and Kate saying he wants to give their relationship a second chance.

However, while Kate is enjoying his company, she has made it clear she will not become involved with William again unless he makes a firm commitment to a future together – and even then she is unsure whether it is what she wants.

Enjoying the limelight: Kate has found a new confidence since the break-up

The pair have not been seen publicly together since their split in April. But The Mail on Sunday can disclose that Kate visited William at his Army barracks in Bovington, Dorset, on June 9.

She joined him at a troop leaders' party to celebrate the end of one of his Army courses. Eyewitnesses have told me the pair, who were happy and relaxed in each other's company, were spotted kissing on the dancefloor at around midnight. They then left the party early to go back to William's barracks.

Making all the moves: William invited Kate to the decadent Army party

"William invited Kate down for the party," a source said. "There were about 150 people and it was a Moulin Rouge-themed bash called Freakin' Naughty.

"There was a bouncy castle and a paddling pool full of gunge and blow-up dolls. It was a great night with everyone in party mood and dressed up in doctors' and nurses' outfits as well as sexy Ann Summers lingerie.

"There were even a few naughty nuns and plenty of flesh on show, but William and Kate were more modestly dressed.

"Kate had clearly gone to a lot of effort, though, and looked gorgeous. It was obvious to everyone that William couldn't take his eyes off her.

"She spent the night chatting with William, but also flitting around from one group to another. She seemed very relaxed and confident, even though they were mostly William's friends, many of whom she didn't know.

"William was following her round like a lost puppy as she went around the room, chatting away and dancing.

"In the end, he just grabbed her and took her on to the dancefloor where they started doing some rather close dancing. They couldn't keep their hands off each other but William didn't care that people were looking.

Free Agent: Kate has been enjoying nights out with Henry Ropner

"At about midnight, he started kissing and smooching her. His friends were joking they should get a room, and it wasn&£39;t long before William took Kate back to his quarters."

This was one of several dates friends of the pair have told me that they have shared in recent weeks.

Next Sunday, Kate will attend the Princess of Wales Memorial Concert at Wembley Stadium.

She will spend time behind the scenes with William and Harry, who have helped organise the event, and Harry's girlfriend Chelsy Davy.

Three weeks later, on July 21, William, who turned 25 last week, will be with Kate at the wedding of one of her cousins.

I understand Kate will use the two events to gauge how comfortable she is being with William in public again.

Although she has been happy to smile for photographers while emerging from London nightclubs since the break-up, the constant media attention during her four-year relationship with William sometimes proved difficult for her.

But the real problem that led to the split was William's unwillingness to commit to a long-term relationship and, ultimately, marriage.

I understand that William has told Kate he is very serious about getting back together but, ironically, this time it is Kate who is struggling to decide what she wants.

Kate out on the town with Charles Morshead

One confidante of the 25-year-old told me: "Kate and William have been in touch and secretly seeing each other for about a month now.

"It's been kept very quiet and – until the party two weeks ago – confined to only their tightest social circle. Seeing each other hasn't been easy because of William's Army commitments, but they have managed it – and done so without anything coming out.

"William has been doing all the chasing and he is the one saying he wants to make it work. It's now Kate who's not sure. She's said it is the toughest decision of her life.

"Kate has played a clever game. When they split up, which actually happened weeks before it was announced, she stepped back and allowed William a bit of space.

"While she was heartbroken, she was also able to unleash a bit more of her true self. That's why she wanted to be out with her girlfriends and even flirted with other guys at clubs.

"Kate felt she was never able to do those things when she was with William.

"Now the ball's in her court. William wants to make things work and said that if they get back together, it will be the real thing."

Another friend of Kate told me: "Kate's thinking about things. Her relationship developed quietly at university and when it all finally came out, being in the limelight put a huge strain on her.

"Kate's a lovely girl and she absolutely loves William. They were incredibly well matched, but she's told us she's trying to work out what she wants and whether she really does want to get back with him.

"It's such a nightmare because she knows if they do get back together, there'll be no turning back. There will have to be an engagement and then marriage."

Kate, who works as an accessories buyer for the High Street chain Jigsaw, has been linked with several aristocratic friends of Prince William since the split, including Charles Morshead and Henry Ropner.

However, her friends agree she has not been interested in finding another man.

Partying and meeting new friends, on the other hand, has been a priority.

She has made regular visits to high-profile nightclubs such as Boujis and Mahiki where she has raised no objections to being photographed in the early hours, smiling and joking with friends.

As a result, say friends, Kate has become more confident and less concerned about media scrutiny. She has also found a new sense of style and is in great shape after training for a record-breaking race across the English Channel in a Chinese dragon boat in August.

She will be part of a 17-woman crew who will attempt to paddle the 20 miles to raise money for the Babes in Arms cot-death charity.

Another friend said: "Going out a lot was just what she needed. Things with William had become a bit too heavy and monotonous, and they needed a break. Kate's not really a rebound sort of girl and William remains the great love of her life."

Meanwhile, William has spent most of his time with his fellow Blues and Royals soldiers and, despite hard-drinking nights out, has not been chasing other women.

A friend of his told me: "William hasn't stopped pining for Kate since they split up. He keeps saying she's an amazing girl and the best thing to happen to him. He's definitely serious about getting back together."

Far from disappearing from the Royal fold, Kate has also remained close to Prince Harry since the split. She has often spoken to him and his girlfriend Chelsy.

A spokesman for Prince William said: "We do not comment on the Prince's private life."

Songbird Kate joins Pete to serenade the Glastonbury thousands

Supermodel Kate Moss added some glamour to Glastonbury when she joined her on-off boyfriend Peter Doherty on the other stage during Babyshambles' evening set.

A huge roar of approval went up as she gave Doherty a kiss on the lips during La Belle De La Bete, before singing a few lines from the song.

Big Brother Day 22: Bookies cough up £50k as Chanelle and Ziggy get jiggy

Luffy | Thursday, June 21, 2007 | 0 comments
Bookies have paid out £50,000 after Ziggy Lichman and Chanelle Hayes became the first Big Brother housemates to have sex in the present series.

Ladbrokes had quoted 8/1 prior to the show's launch but were forced to revise their price - to 6/1, 5/1, 4/1 and 2/1 - after the male model joined the show and started a relationship with the Posh Spice fan.

Chanelle, 19, promised she would not have sex in the house - but by the time she lifted her ban last night, the odds were even money.
Big Brother
Ziggy and Chanelle are the first couple to have sex in the house this series

Ladbrokes spokesman, Nick Weinberg, said: "The BB bonk is always a popular bet but housemates' inhibitions usually mean we avoid a hefty pay out. We knew we were in trouble when the casanova entered the house. The only surprise is that it's taken so long for Ziggy to get jiggy."

A show spokeswoman denies the encounter: "It hasn't happened. We have looked at the footage in question and it certainly does not look like they were having sex."
Big Brother

The odds on the winner have shifted after tree surgeon Liam McGough won a £100,000 jackpot on last night's show.

He and the other housemates believe this is the grand prize for the entire show.
Big Brother
Liam broke down in tears after learning he would win £100,000

Host Davina McCall announced the prize at the beginning of last night's 8pm show, saying one of the housemates was set to become "rich beyond their wildest dreams".

Channel 4 went live to the house at the end of last night's first show as the housemates were shown the money, which was in a large box in the diary room.
Big Brother
Nominated housemates Jonathan, Carole and Seany had to select a housemate to award the money to

In the second show, which was also broadcast live, Jonathan, Carole and Seany were summoned to the Diary Room and told they had been nominated by their fellow housemates to face the public eviction vote this week.

"Bad luck," said Big Brother before adding, "your luck is about to get even worse".

They were told that while they were not eligible to receive the grand prize, they would have one minute to choose one housemate to win the money.
Big Brother
Charley quizzed Liam about what he plans to do with his prize

The speech, in which Big Brother told them that they were deciding who would receive the prize fund for the entire show, was shown on a television to the rest of the housemates.

After briefly considering Ziggy for the prize, the three unanimously agreed on Liam as the winner before their time had elapsed.

Carole was asked to stand up and tell the group who would receive the money.

She told them: "We had one minute to decide who to give the £100,000 to and we chose Liam."
Big Brother
Shock: housemates, including Nicky, were surprised by the twist

A stunned-looking Liam was hugged by his fellow housemates before bursting into tears.

Charley told him: "You do what you want with that money."

Liam was later more preoccupied with crying on television. He said: "I didn't want to cry there. I said to my father there'll be none of that."

Brian replied: "Don't worry about crying ... your dad will be proud of you man."

Liam went to sit on his own to take in the news and when he was joined by Seany, he whispered: "Thank you so much."

Carole and Jonathan also joined them on the sofas and Jonathan explained to Liam why they chose him.

"You're the truest, strongest, best man we've got," he said. "You're a proper honest man. We all agreed in ten seconds."

Laura was not so sure, complaining that she should have got the money. "I haven't even got a washing machine in my house!" she protested.

Gerry was the first to question what the twist meant for the rest of the Big Brother experience, saying "what's happening now?"

McCall, who had earlier assured viewers the money is actually in addition to the show's final prize, wondered how the belief that the prize money had already been won would affect the other housemates.

"Will that affect their status in the house? Will that affect Liam's status in the house?" she pondered before adding that maybe some of the women would start to "fancy" him now that he had money.

The programme is in its fourth week and housemates expect to be in the Big Brother house for much of the rest of the summer.

Ageing takes its toll on Kate Moss' knobbly knees

Luffy | Wednesday, June 20, 2007 | 0 comments
Kate Moss might be wishing she had the benefit of airbrushing during her latest night out on the town.

Arriving at Sir Paul McCartney's star-studded 65th birthday party in London, her glamorous floor length white gown featured two bold thigh-baring splits.

But the dress also revealed the 33-year-old's knobbly, wrinkle covered knees, proving that even she is not immune to signs of ageing.

Knees up: leggy Kate can't defy the ravages of time

Moss, who arrived toting a present for Sir Paul, spent the night partying with her pal Stella McCartney and Hollywood actress Natalie Portman.

The guest list also included her ex Jefferson Hack - luckily the former couple, who are parents to Lila Grace, remain on friendly terms.

Moss' current beau, troubled Babyshambles front man Pete Doherty, sat this party out.

Despite her advancing years, the 33-year-old has still retained her ability to be one of the world's most influential trend setters.

New research has revealed that today's music festivals are more about designer wardrobes than the acts on stage thanks to the "Kate Moss effect".

The survey, commissioned in the run-up to Glastonbury this weekend, found that a quarter of festival-goers spend around £500 on each outdoor music event.

Jemima's lost her cat and calls the cops

Luffy | Tuesday, June 19, 2007 | 0 comments
When the distress call came, police arrived in double quick time.

As two uniformed officers, in a marked squad car, tore through the streets of London, local residents feared the worst - drug barons or ruthless criminals, perhaps, on the loose.

Not, it is safe to say, Hugh Grant and Jemima Khan's missing Bengal cats.

Emergency: policewomen and Hugh Grant swing into action to find the highly priced cat

Nonetheless, London's Metropolitan police force saw fit to send the female officers to respond to a call made by the 33-year-old heiress, reporting the disappearance of her two furry friends.

Although one of the prized, £900 creatures has been since located, Miss Khan rang the police on Sunday afternoon after being unable to locate its sibling.

Within 24 hours, a task force was sent out to investigate the rather puzzling case, giving it priority status on the basis that the errant Bengal - a highly sought after cross-bred between domestic short-haired and Asian leopard cats - was "high value property".

Anxious abot her pet: Jemima Khan

Helped by the 46-year-old Notting Hill star, police searched high and low for the wayward puss, but to no avail.

With no evidence to suggest that the animal's disappearance was suspicious - despite high levels of black-market Bengal trading - the police are unlikely to invest further resources on the case, however.

The cat, a gift from Grant to Miss Khan during the couple's three year relationship, remains at large.

Miss Khan and Grant, who are rumoured to have got engaged since splitting in February, are understandably distressed about the missing creature.

However, with crime rates rising and police response rates falling below their own target response times, the case calls into question the nature of police priorities.

pussyposter
Khan has put up copies of this poster around her neighbourhood

A Scotland Yard spokesman defended the police's rather enthusiastic response.

"A call was logged on the 18th June but police officers did not attend the address until the 19th," he said on Tuesday.

"It was not treated as a 999 call, but because of the high value of the missing property - a Bengal cat is not your average moggy - we feel that the response was perfectly normal and proportionate to the value.

"Although the cat is believed to be at large, there is no evidence to suggest that the cat's disappearance is suspicious and unless further evidence emerges to the contrary, no further action will be taken."

With black-market pedigree Bengals fetching up to £2,000 per animal, there are fears that it may have been stolen.

Peter Edwards, from the Bengal Cat Club of Great Britain, said: "Bengal cats used to be targeted by thieves ten years ago when they sold for several thousand pounds."

"But without the paperwork proving their origin they probably aren't worth much more than any other pedigree cat. Their history makes them unique though - they are derived form an Asian leopard cat.

"I hope Jemima gets her cats back but I don't think she will. They don't tend to wander off and if someone has taken them they are more likely to just sell it on."

Posh says she envies the simplicity of council estate life. Ever happy to help, we make her dream come true.

Lily Allen says 'I don't want to be a celebrity,'

Luffy | Friday, June 15, 2007 | 0 comments
She's posed for magazine photoshoots and regularly makes promotional television appearances, but now outspoken pop singer Lily Allen says she is sick of the media glare.

In a MySpace post she wrote: "I don't want to be a celebrity, I am a singer, I write songs, that's it."
LilyAllen
Allen says she's is sick of media attention, saying: 'In fact I hate it'

The rant was a clear change of mood for Allen, who had earlier turned on the charm during an angelic appearance at MTV's TRL programme in New York.

In the message, titled "F*** Off, F*** Off", the star complained about gossip reports that claimed she arrived late for her performance at New York City's Roseland Ballroom earlier this week.

She said: "I would never turn up two hours late for a gig... EVER. I'd been in my dressing room since four o'clock that afternoon anyway it's not as if I'd leave 3000 people out there for no reason."
LilyAllen1
The singer, appearing on MTV's TRL show this week, now says she longer wants to be a celebrity

Allen insists that she does her best to avoid celebrity behaviour: "I don't sleep and take drugs with famous people (I have a boyfriend I've been with for nearly 3 years), I don't go to film premieres. I don't go shopping in the paparazzi hotspots, so please leave me alone."

Allen says the constant attention has made her rethink her website posts: "The thing is, I’m not going to write here so often now. this used to be one of my favourite things to do. I could come on here and vent how I feel honestly and get feedback from you guys. But the tabloid f***s have ruined it."

Last month in a MySpace message, Allen experienced a high profile meltdown, calling herself "fatter and uglier" than Amy Winehouse, and threatened to have liposuction.

Watch out - Nancy Dell'Olio is on the dance floor

Madonna chic goes cheekless

Luffy | Wednesday, June 13, 2007 | 0 comments
She famously works out for at least three hours a day to fit into skin-tight costumes and the tiniest of designer clothes.

But judging by this picture, it seems that Madonna's relentless exercise regime may be taking its toll on her face.

Another explanation is that the singer is a victim of her own success - because of her svelte figure, it's hard to remember the mother of two is 48 years old.

Leaving the Locanda Locatelli restaurant in central London this week wearing minimal make-up and an austere black outfit topped by a silvery trilby hat, her razor-sharp cheekbones stood out.

Patrick Whitfield, a plastic surgeon from The Harley Medical Group, said Madonna's thin face could be attributed to her strict macrobiotic diet - and the march of time.

He added: "Ageing of the face is a funny thing. You can be fine for a long time and then suddenly the face starts to crumble.

"I think Madonna looks good in the sense that she doesn't have a wrinkly neck yet. But you can see a hollowing of the cheeks.

"You lose that fatty tissue as it is absorbed during the ageing process. The soft tissue slips off the face and you get a degree of hollowing."

Victoria Beckham: 'I would live with David in a council flat'

Luffy | Tuesday, June 12, 2007 | 0 comments
Sporty Posh: Wearing wedge pumps, Victoria Beckham gives it her best shot

Victoria Beckham's love for handsome footballer husband David is so deep she said would ditch her lavish lifestyle to share a council flat with him.

Victoria told OK! Magazine she'd choose her man above fame and fortune, saying: "I can't do without love. I would rather live in a council flat with David than in Beckingham Palace without him."

Impressive words, but given David Beckham's multimillion pound move to Major League Soccer team LA Galaxy, it's almost certain it will never come to that.

Speaking about the constant separation they endure in their marriage, Victoria, who was named Woman of the Year by Glamour magazine at a ceremony last week, said she sometimes wishes for a more simple life - such as working for a bank!

She told OK! Magazine: "I long for us to be living together all the time. Sometimes I see a couple who've just finished work, sitting in their car, and she's got a Barclay's bank badge on and he's got his Dixon's badge on, and they're going home for dinner.

"Sometimes that looks nice to me, but we all want something we don't have."

David previously echoed Victoria's sentiments as he once said: "I'd have liked Victoria even if she worked in Tesco."

However, it's clear Victoria's not ready to give up her money-spinning day job just yet.

Posh turned Sporty Spice during a recent appearance at a baseball park in the Los Angeles, where she filmed scenes for her reality show.

NBC has signed a deal for six episodes of a 30-minute unscripted series recording the former Spice Girl's move from the UK with husband David and children Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

Beckham is in Spain finishing out his contract with Real Madrid, which ends June 30.

When asked about when the move to California will take place, she said: "Mid-July, I reckon."

"As a family, we're really excited about moving to L.A. He's looking forward to coming to a Dodgers game as well."

Victoria is fast becoming a fixture on LA's celebrity scene, following an appearance at the MTV film awards, and friendships with A-list stars Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Jennifer Lopez.

She said she was "really nervous" about delivering the ceremonial first pitch. But onlookers said many of her practice tosses to Dodgers pitcher Lowe in the area behind home plate were on-target.

"I've been to lots of football stadiums, but this is something else," she said. "I'm going to do the best I can. It's a huge honour for me. David's going to be watching at home."

Surrounded by cameras and photographers, she was filmed having a conversation with Tom Lasorda, a manager of the Dodgers who is now a club executive.
