Scarlett Johansson stars in a new campaign for Moët & Chandon

Scarlett Johansson proved she is indeed a bubbly blonde in a new campaign for Moët & Chandon.

The Hollywood actress looks her bombshell best in a series of smouldering images for the champagne house, who named her their first ever celebrity ambassador last month.

In one provocative image she pops the cork off a bottle of the French tipple, while in another she shows off her fancy footwork as she holds a champagne glass between her toes.

The 24-year-old, who is no doubt delighted with the free flowing champagne that will come her way as part of the role, is also photographed reclining poolside on a lounge with a huge ice bucket (but not a drop of liquor in sight).

The campaign was shot by renowned photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

'I am honoured to have been chosen as their ambassador and to make history with the brand, as the first celebrity face of champagne,' said at a gala film evening in London in March which was also attended by Thandie Newton and Eva Herzigova.

The head of Moët & Chandon Frédéric Cumenal said Scarlett, the star of Lost In Translation and more recently Vicky Cristina Barcelona, was 'the obvious choice.'

In a gushing speech about the actress, he continued: 'She, like Moët, has a magical story to tell and makes people dream.

'She is a true icon of celebration - refreshingly spontaneous, generous, glamorous and she lives life to the fullest both on-screen and off.'

Scarlett will soon be back to her day job with a new role in Iron Man 2.

She will play the Russian femme fatale Black Widow in the highly anticipated sequel.

She is set to join a star-studded cast which includes Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle and Mickey Rourke.

British actress Emily Blunt was initially cast for the role but stepped down due to obligations to the film Gulliver's Travels.

The Hollywood screen siren slipped into a series of seductive outfits for the December issue of Allure magazine, including an Agent Provocateur bustier and a leopard print body suit.

Celebrity hairdresser Garren created a 'girlie, Brigitte Bardot' style for the actress, while makeup artist Stephane Marais continued the theme by giving her face an 'updated '50s-style look.'

The result delighted the Lost In Translation star, who said: 'I can't believe this is all my own hair! It's perfect for a holiday party.'

She says: 'I always wanted to get married and have kids. I just never had any preconceived idea about what that would be like.'

'Some girls have envisioned their whole wedding forever. My life seems to be happening naturally.'

But she declined to reveal how the couple met, saying only: 'Nobody knows. It's private. It's our story.'

She also addresses her long-standing feud with rival Lindsay Lohan.

Lindsay reportedly called her 'ugly' and 'fat' and scrawled an unprintable obscenity about Scarlett on the wall of a club toilet two years ago.

'I really don’t know that person. I only met her, like, three times,' the 23-year-old says.

'I don’t know what the motivation was behind that. I remember it was something really vulgar - I mean, shockingly so, like, "Whoa, what, who are you?"'

While Lindsay isn't a fan, singer Katy Perry certainly is - Scarlett inspired her hit song I Kissed A Girl.

'I had no idea,' Scarlett responded. 'I should get a cut!'

She added that while it was flattering, 'my lips are kind of taken.'

'I think a lot of that (being called sexy) is just because I have breasts and an ass,' she told the magazine, which is produced by Kate Moss' ex Jefferson Hack.

'Is it because I'm curvy and most people in this business are thin?
'I don't know what it is, I just think I am very comfortable in my body.

'My mum was very beautiful and wore red lipstick and make-up and dresses and was very feminine. And my sister and I were always really feminine.'

One person who clearly is a fan of Scarlett is actor Ryan Reynolds.

The star announced her engagement to the Canadian actor earlier this year, but claims she won’t be rushing down the aisle.

Speaking on the Jay Leno show, she said: 'We're just enjoying our time. We're just recently - very recently - engaged. So… we're just taking it easy. And no big plan yet.

‘I mean, I'm 23. There's no reason to rush into it. Everything feels very natural and relaxed.’

Lindsay Lohan hones her Daisy Duke-look

Her acting career has received a critical mauling recently, so it comes as no surprise Lindsay Lohan is concentrating on her dress sense instead.

The troubled actress's latest look of cut-off denim shorts appears to be inspired by seventies sex symbol Daisy Duke.

Leaving little to the imagination with her clinging black top, waistcoat, and massive Jackie O sunglasses, Lohan was out-and-about in West Hollywood yesterday.

Catherine Bach played the sexy short-shorts-wearing cousin Daisy in the popular U.S. TV show, The Dukes of Hazzard, while Jessica Simpson took up the role for 2005's big screen incarnation.

It's been a bad start to the year for Lohan, who spent most of 2007 in rehab being treated for substance abuse.

While her contemporaries Keira Knightley and Scarlett Johansson have been nominated for an Oscar and won a Bafta respectively, Lohan's latest film was awarded a staggering EIGHT Golden Raspberry Awards.

I Know Who Killed Me, shot around Lohan's first of three stints in rehab last year, was named Worst Film of the year, last week.

The film was also named Worst Remake or Rip-off, for paying dubious homage to Hostel, Saw and The Patty Duke Show.

She is best known for appearing in blockbuster costume dramas.

But for Keria Knightley's latest role there wasn't too much demand on the costume department.

The corsets and petticoats of Pirates of the Caribbean and Pride and Prejudice were eschewed in favour of a handful of well-place accessories.

Seated with just a bowler hat and a white shirt to cover her modesty, this is Miss Knightley as the face of Chanel.

Carefully coiffured hair, deftly-applied make-up and jewels draped around her neck, the undressed look for the glamorous shot, advertising perfume Coco Mademoiselle, only went so far.

There was doubtless some pressure on the star to bring a bit of glamour to the shoot.

She is after all filling the shoes of Croydon supermodel Kate Moss, the previous face of the chic perfume.

Miss Knightley, 22, is thought to have a one-year contract worth more than £500,000 to be the new face of the scent, which launched in 2001 with Miss Moss in the spotlight.

At the time the contract was revealed, Christine Dagousset, the executive vice-president of fragrance and beauty, said: "We think Keira is the perfect woman because she is always incredibly alluring and seductive."

Certainly Miss Knightley's first appearance for the fashion house is alluring.

It is unlikely to have caused the young actress any problems in the modesty arena.

Speaking of nudity in films she once said: "I have certain tools. One of them is my body."

She was just 16, when her breakthrough role as Lara in ITV's steamy adaptation of Dr Zhivago required her to strip off for scenes.

When she agreed to strip for 2005 film Domino she described it as "remarkably liberating".

However the slim starlet is not without some body hang-ups.

The Chanel shoot notably hides her bottom. An area of her body that seemingly caused such insecurity that the actress once requested a body double for a film role.

She also spoken of her dislike of her legs and chest, declaring "I don't have any t***, so I can;t show cleavage."

That is one area that appears to have been addressed by Chanel, not withstanding the discretely placed bowler hat.

The normally washboard like figure betrays a hint of curve.

But then the star - who was famously given a digitally enhanced cleavage boost for the U.S promotion material for the film King Arthur - has proclaimed a love of airbrushing.

"Airbrushing is sort of nice and I wish they could do that for me in my everyday life," she said.

However Keira isn't the only celebrity happy to strip off for the venerable old fashion house.

Lindsay Lohan has blasted Sienna Miller as a "no talent crackhead" while claiming herself to be the "greatest actress in the world".

The troubled Hollywood star, who was arrested last month on drink-driving and drug charges, also unleashes a torrent of abuse against fellow actors Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightey.

The 21-year-old calls Johansson "fat and ugly" and Knightley is a "flat, shallow, cardboard cutout of an actress," according to reports in the National Enquirer.

Besides her personal troubles, Lohan is also struggling with her career.
