But actress Lindsay Lohan looked a world away from any hard work as she continued enjoying a romantic break with her girlfriend, DJ Samantha Ronson.

The loved-up couple held hands and splashed about in the waves while on a romantic vacation together in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Lohan, 22, has been dating 30-year-old Sam - sister of music producer Mark Ronson - for several months and rumours are circulating that the pair are engaged.

At one point on their holiday, the couple tried to get hotel staff to use a large beach towel so photographers could not see them.

But they look far from camera shy in these pictures.

However, it appears she'll still make time for a spot of partying - she is reportedly being lined up to replace Britney Spears as host for next week's Scandinavian Style Mansion gala in LA.

Britney was initially asked to host the bash, the party's organizer Claus Hjelmbak announced she would no longer be fronting the occasion following her hospitalisation in early January.

Meanwhile, her mother and manager Dina Lohan will soon hit the small screen in the US with her own reality show.

The program, called Living Lohan, will following the Dina as she attempts to guide her 14-year-old daughter Ali into a show business career.

The premiere date has yet to be set and the show's name is still a "working title" but E! said the program will "follow Dina as she works double duty as mom and manager to help Ali try to follow in her big sister's famous footsteps."

The actress, sporting blonde locks and a slender frame, stars in a sultry new shoot for edgy style magazine Paper, where she defends her hard-partying, law-infringing, rehab-hopping past, declaring: "I am what I am."

The 21-year-old puts her troubled year down to her family woes – and the bright lights of Hollywood.

He told America's Us Weekly: “I'm not going to look at the photos — that's my daughter!”

Dina Lohan, however, approved of the photoshoot claiming that the shots were done tastefully and supported her daughter's view that it was the opportunity of a lifetime.
